Mitchell and his collaborators at the University of Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh (United States) an approximation towards an understanding of cerebral activity has been obtained using an information systems model which acts as a tool for identifying and understanding cognitive processes and for developing treatments for specific problems pertaining to language and learning.
